Students at TCA+A public charter schools receive a unique educational experience that brings together artistic and academic instruction and achievement. Our faculty and staff teach, mentor, and inspire students to learn and grow as artists, scholars, and school community members. Both schools provide professional artistic training and nationally recognized academic and college preparatory programs.
We invite all students interested in the arts to learn more about our admissions process and apply to audition at FWAFA or TeSA!

Texas School of the Arts
Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts
Texas School of the Arts (TeSA) offers a challenging program and innovative environment in which students, grades K-5, develop artistically and academically. Our mission is to inspire a lifelong passion for learning and empower students to achieve academic excellence through an arts-based education. We do this through creative instructional strategies and rigorous academic goals in each classroom.
As a fine arts charter school, serving grades 3-12, Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (FWAFA) provides the greater Fort Worth area with concentrations in Choir, Dance, Theatre, and Visual Art. FWAFA produces a full season of performances and exhibitions for the community including musicals, choral performances, full-length plays, and dance concerts.
In addition to the fine arts, students participate in a challenging college preparatory academic program. High school students have the opportunity to earn college and high school credit through dual enrollment and AP classes. We are ranked #6 – Best School District in Tarrant County and #8 – Best High School for the Arts in Texas by Niche. FWAFA has also earned the College Success Award by Greatschools.org, and was ranked in the top 17% of high schools nationwide by U.S. News and World Report.
