A North Texas educational organization dedicated to inspiring young people through an arts-based, academic world-view.
Texas School of the Arts (TeSA) offers a challenging program and truly innovative environment in which Kindergarten through 5th grade students develop artistically and academically. Our mission is to inspire a lifelong passion for learning and empower students to achieve academic excellence through an arts-based education. We do this through creative instructional strategies and rigorous academic goals in every classroom.
All TeSA students explore Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Art and have opportunities to perform and showcase their artwork, helping build motor skills, confidence, collaboration, leadership, and creativity. A life-long appreciation for the arts is fostered as students regularly become artists, choreographers, composers, writers, and performers.
Learn More About TeSAOur mission is to inspire in artistically talented students a lifelong passion for learning, empowering them to achieve academic and artistic excellence. As a fine arts charter school, serving grades 3-12, Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (FWAFA) provides the greater Fort Worth area with educational concentrations in Choir, Dance, Theatre, and Visual Art.
FWAFA is the only public school in Fort Worth producing a full season of performances and exhibitions for the community including musicals, choral performances, full length plays, and a ballet.
In addition to the fine arts, students are exposed to a challenging college preparatory academic program. We are ranked #4 – Best School District in Tarrant County and #7 Best High School for the Arts in Texas by Niche. FWAFA also earned the College Success Award by Greatschools.org in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
