One thing I love about FWAFA is our culture that says arts are valuable and educational. Our students leave FWAFA with self-confidence and self-esteem. Even students who do not choose fine art related paths benefit from the training they received here. As Josh Groban says-Theater kids make the best employees!
Our family came to FWAFA in 2005. My 2 daughters, Claire and Caroline, graduated in 2009 and 2011. Darla Jones and Gigi Cervantes were their theater teachers and helped make them TCU ready.
My life philosophy is simple-choose kindness and value others.
The most exciting part of my job is watching third graders learn to become better readers and seeing them enjoy all kinds of books!
I enjoy attending shows-especially musicals! Going to NYC to see a Broadway musical is one of my favorite things to do, especially since I have a daughter who lives there. Three weeks ago, I was fortunate to see Sutton Foster in “Once Upon a Mattress.”
