Secondary Math & Science

What do you love most about this school? What I enjoy most about FWAFA is the community! The administrators, staff, and students are all so very talented and inspiring. And although FWAFA is an artistic community that shares similar attitudes, interests, and goals, everyone is unique, and the community remains encouraging and inclusive.

What are your hobbies? I especially enjoy college football, going to concerts, hiking/nature, photography, traveling with my family, true crime, and video games.

What would you choose an unlimited supply of at school? As a math and science teacher, it would have to be dry erase markers or pencils!

What would you choose if you could only eat one type of cuisine for the rest of your life? Mexican! Ceviche, gorditas, guacamole, mole, pozole, tacos, tamales…

What’s the most exciting part of your current job role? The most exciting part of being a middle school teacher is undoubtedly watching my students grow… Not just academically and mentally, but also emotionally, socially, and physically. Furthermore, it is thrilling to see students that dislike math and/or are “bad at math” come to truly enjoy math and recognize their growth and mathematic skills and strengths.
