A North Texas educational organization dedicated to inspiring young people through an arts-based, academic world-view.
The U.S. Department of Education’s OFFICE FOR CIVIL RIGHTS (OCR) enforces, among other statutes, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Title IX protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance. Title IX states that:
No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
Texas Center for Arts + Academics strictly prohibits discrimination, including harassment, against employees, students, volunteers and applicants for employment on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other legally protected classification. Retaliation against anyone involved in the complaint process is also a violation of Texas Center for Arts + Academics policy.
We designate and authorize the following person(s) as the Title IX coordinator to be responsible for coordinating the district’s efforts to comply with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, as amended, for students:
